Color Splat

An augmented virtuality game!

Find Out More

About the Project

Since ages throwing a ball has been one of the biggest sports in the world. Baseball, handball and American football. But taking it one step further, Color Splat forces the player to be both strategic and work out to hit the evil characters trying to break into your fortress.

The game combines both reality and the virtual world when the player must use a physical ball, to throw towards the screen, which then continues into the unreality. To then reload the player needs to get the ball - wherever it landed. This game is a creative game changer making the player solve the old throw-a-ball game in a completely different way.

Give it a try and we promise that you will both laugh and do your daily workout.
Peace out!

The Team

Viktor Alderin

Human Computer Interaction

Viktor loves to move. Dancing, running, jumping, climbing. It's is an essential part of life and vital to stay healthy. Unfortunately, Viktor doesn’t like working out. Thus he has been part in creating a game that makes the player move and exercise, while keeping it fun! Viktor worked on the simulation of the virtual ball's trajectory that continues from the softball.

Emilie Le Moël

Computer Science

Emilie must be the luckiest person in the world… She usually has a terrible throw, but she performed the best one-shot on the first take of the promotional video! And she’s lucky because she recruited the perfect viktorious team for the project. She worked on the interface between the interaction and the game scene, by having CCV and TUIO to comply to her envies.

Viktor Leandersson

Media Technology

Viktor has since childhood thrown balls. To friends, to birds and through windows. But now he has taken his old interest and made it into a game with the rest of the team. An awesome game. And now everyone can throw balls. In this project Viktor has designed some enviroment and created the particle system that renders the clouds. Yep - there is a cloud. Just look closer!
